Doing The Next Right Thing Gods Way
This is an area that I personally struggle in. The bible teaches us to bless those that persecute us. "Bless" means to want salvation for those who wrong us or just get on your nerves. For me, this is very difficult when you have family members who are going down a long dark path. I know God wants us to go out of our way to bless them but I find my self telling God NO, I don't want them to be blessed. It is easier for me to forgive strangers then it is to forgive family. I think it is because I have always trusted family, but when that trust is broken what do you do with that? Each day we wake up, we need to decide how will we live our lives. Will we be a God follower or follow a darker path. When we give in to hate and anger, satin wins. When we give into Love and Forgiveness, God wins. It is tough for me to admit that I need prayer in this area.
I am trying to take my own advise and "Do The Next Right Thing."
